Force.com Free Edition announced
Salesforce.com has now made available a free edition of their Force.com cloud computing platform.
This free service is limited in features but still offers decent functionality for anyone who wants to check out the capabilities of this platform.
The company said that the free edition would allow potential customers to develop one custom application that can be deployed to up to 100 users.
They can then upgrade to the paid edition if they need more power and flexibility.
The company added that the platform is already pretty successful with more than 110,000 custom applications developed on it.
The free edition powered applications get up to 250,000 page views per month at no charge.
