Acrobat.com takes on Google Docs and Microsoft Office!
Adobe has launched the stable edition of their Acrobat.com web based service.
Acrobat.com has been designed to provide a web based alternative to Microsoft Office.
In a way, it competes with Google Docs and other similar web based services.
Acrobat.com already has a word processor and presentation engine. The company has now added a spreadsheet tool as well.
The service also features ConnectNow feature which enables the users to run virtual meetings, share desktops and even run presentations online.
Also included is a tool named Create PDF.
All of these tools and services are available through a web browser and everything is powered by Adobe Flash.
