Symantec shuts down GoEverywhere project
Security software company Symantec has announced that they are now shutting down their GoEverywhere.
GoEverywhere is still in beta testing phase. And it is designed to enable users to have a single point of access to several web applications.
It was one of the products that were being developed by the Symantec Incubator team.
Art Wong who was heading the Incubator team left the company a couple of days ago. He had joined Symantec in 2002 when Security Focus was acquired by the security industry giant.
Symantec President and CEO Enrique Salem spoke about the decision to shut down this project: “What you do with an incubator is you place some bets and you do a review and you say, ‘What do you think the long-term bets are going to be?’. We tried four or five things, we picked two to go forward with, and we’ll fund some other new things to put in the incubator.”
