Dell continues to benefit from Twitter
US based personal computer maker Dell has shown that you can generate business from the popular social networking service Twitter.
The company has sold more than 3 million dollars worth of goods and services through Twitter already.
Dell representative Stefanie Nelson had this to say: “We’ve surpassed $2 million in revenue in terms of Dell Outlet sales, but we’re also seeing that it’s driving interest in new product as well.”
Dell has specifically benefitted from deals that are only offered through their Twitter accounts.
The company has more than 620,000 followers. These are the web users who get instant access to new deals and other information from Dell directly!
Another Dell representative Richard Binhammer added: “If all of a sudden I have 15 new flatscreens that have popped into Dell Outlet because they’ve been returned…I can now move them very quickly on Twitter. It becomes a very effective way to move the inventory very quickly because of the immediacy of Twitter.”
