Apple Safari 4 has a successful launch
Apple recently released the stable edition of their Safari 4 web browser.
It had been in beta testing since months now.
The launch is fairly successful for the company as Apple said that it has been downloaded more than 11 million times in the three day period.
This number includes 6 million downloads from customers on Windows platform.
Apple Safari is available for both Mac OS X and Windows.
The company has equipped this latest edition with a brand new Nitro JavaScript engine. Apple claims that this engine is nearly eight times faster than Internet Explorer 8 and more than four times faster than Mozilla Firefox 3.
Apple further claims that Safari is the world’s fastest, most innovative browser. Fast we might agree but innovative? That is debatable.

True. Chrome is very fast. It is being developed very actively. New features are being added on a weekly basis. This is how web browsers should be developed!
