Apple discards PowerPC platform with Mac OS X Snow Leopard
Apple is set to launch their newest operating system Mac OS X Snow Leopard in September this year.
One of the major changes in this edition of the Mac OS X is that it would not feature support for the older PowerPC powered Apple Macs.
Apple has finally discarded the users who are still on those Macs as they look towards the future.
Mac OS X Snow Leopard would only work on Intel powered Apple Macs.
Apple started selling Intel powered Macs in 2006. Three years is a long time and they are being pretty reasonable removing the support for those Macs in the latest edition of the Mac OS X.
