Gmail for mobile gets email address auto-complete functionality

Google has further enhanced the mobile version of Gmail with new features like address auto-completion and keyboard shortcuts.

These features are already available on the regular version of Gmail.

These new features are available on Gmail when accessed through capable mobile devices like Apple iPhone, Apple iPod Touch and Google Android powered smartphones.

It is also currently available only on the English version of mobile Gmail.

Google blogged about these new features:

The first improvement is faster address auto-completion. This means that as you begin typing the first few letters of your friend or colleague’s name or email address, Gmail for mobile will quickly display possible contacts.
