Apple Safari 4 released
Apple has launched the stable edition of Safari 4 web browser. It had been in beta testing for months now.
The beta editions had tab windows at the top of the browser. Just like Google Chrome. That has been removed.
Apple Safari 4 features the same old tab mechanism at the top of the browser window.
They have also added a new indicator for displaying page load progress. Beta editions just had a revolving circle. This is still not good enough compared to the progress indicator in previous Safari editions which showed a blue bar through the address bar.
The RSS icon is now in grey colour which matches the overall theme of the browser.
Apple Safari 4 is available for both Windows and Mac OS X.
