Twitter announces Verified Accounts service
Social networking service Twitter has announced a new experimental feature named ‘Verified Accounts’.
This feature is aimed at companies and celebrities who would be able to get their accounts verified.
The company aims to launch a beta version of this new feature later this year. This version would be made open for a small set of celebrities.
Verified account holders would get an image based seal on their Twitter pages. This would help their visitors as well who would now get a way to find out if they are on real Twitter page of a particular celebrity or not.
