Windows 7 Upgrades could cost as little as USD 50
Engadget has reported that Best Buy would pre-sell the upgrade versions of Windows 7 OS for as low as USD 50.
A leaked memo has been published which states that they would start this new offer from June 26.
As per the report the upgrade versions would cost:
USD 50 for Home Premium edition
USD 100 for Professional edition
This essentially means that the Vista users can look forward to cheap upgrading to the Windows 7 operating system.
It is yet not clear if Microsoft would offer free upgrades to customers who buy a system with Windows Vista just before the launch of the OS in October this year.
This leaked memo could mean that customers who buy Vista machines after June could be eligible for free upgrades.
For the time being, these are just rumours.
