Digg Ads: Digg or Bury Ads to express your opinion
If you are a fan of Digg, you would know that the company has been working on their own advertising mechanism to improve revenue generation.
The company has finally announced the launch of Digg Ads.
This new concept would enable Digg users to vote on the ads that appear on the service.
They would be able to Digg the ads they like and Bury the ads they don’t.
Ads which are Dugg the most would get more prominent placements and they would become cheaper for the advertiser.
Ads which are Buried the most would cost the advertiser more and they would be kicked out of the system.
It remains to be seen if this social voting mechanism would work for Digg.
They are now going to run advertisement messages inline with stories on Digg. This could possibly result in a backlash.
