Staying up-to-date with Opera 10 releases

If you are a fan of Opera Browser and are playing around with Opera 10 Alpha releases, this post is for you.

Opera has finally added support for auto-update functionality that downloads and install the latest edition similar to how Firefox does it.

They have been testing out sending the update alerts to the users of recent Alpha editions.

All you need is to edit a setting in Opera that is available from opera:config.

The setting to be enabled is named ‘Download All Snapshots’.

One thing to remember is that the setting would now make available all releases made by the Opera developers… some of which may break your installation or even delete personal data. So, use it carefully at your own risk!
