Google Chrome Extensions: AdSweep for ad-blocking

Update: AdSweep developers have updated it and it now works as a proper extension for Google Chrome. It also now updates automatically.

AdSweep

If you are looking for an ad blocking solution for Google Chrome, AdSweep might be right for you.

Google has just been adding support for extensions in their Chrome web browser. And this means that using AdSweep on Chrome is not very intuitive.

AdSweep is essentially a user JavaScript file that redefines CSS rules to hide web based advertisement from web pages.

The developers spoke about this product:

AdSweep applies filters that identify ads based on common patterns that are specific to banner ads (name of ads, dimensions of banners, anchor tags linking to known advertising servers, combination of tags and properties, etc…).
