Beta label might disappear from some Google services

Google is often blamed for misusing the concept of Beta services and products.

The company launches almost all of their products and services in beta. And a couple of them have remained beta even after several years of launch.

Google Gmail is one of the biggest victims of this crime.

Google has now hinted that they are considering removing the beta label from some of their products and services.

The aim is to make these services more acceptable to paying business customers which tend to stay away from beta products.

Google Docs Product Manager Jonathan Rochelle spoke about removing Beta label from the services offered under Google Apps Premier Edition: “We’re going to deal with that very soon; we’re going to figure out a way to fix that.”
