Eucalyptus eBook reader denied entry on Apple App Store
Yet another absurd story is out on Apple’s rejection for an application for an unbelievable reason.
Apple has apparently rejected an eBook reading application named Eucalyptus.
The reason given behind the rejection is that the application can access eBooks like Kama Sutra.
The funny aspect of the whole deal is that the application does not come with any content included with it.
Users get the ability to download free eBooks from gutenberg.org, a free archive of digitized classic books.
So, this application enables a user to get access to content that ‘might’ contain objectionable material.
We believe the same problem exists with Amazon Kindle for iPhone and of course Apple Safari web browser available on the iPhone.

Is this true? I find it almost unbelievable – surely the web browser app on an Iphone could access far more questionable content than a book reader. More likely it’s because it can access free content, rather than having to buy via Apple (or Amazon etc).
