Mozilla looking for replacement of Tabs in web browsers

Tabbed browsing has become a standard in almost every web browser out there.

Mozilla Firefox developers are now looking for a better method to manage different web sessions within a web browser.

Mozilla believes that tabs are useless if the user is viewing more than a couple of pages at any given time.

One of the aims of the The Mozilla Labs Design Challenge: Summer 09 is to find new creative ways to create, navigate and manage multiple Web sites within the same browser instance.

Mozilla spoke about the challenge: “If you have more than seven or eight tabs open they become pretty much useless. And tabs don’t work well if you use them with heterogeneous information. They’re a good solution to keep the screen tidy for the moment. And that’s just what they should continue doing.”

If you have something in mind, feel free to share it with the developers… Your method might just become the new standard in web browsers!
