Disabling Google Update? Now possible!

If you hate Google Chrome just because of the Google Update utility that runs in the background? Here is a solution.

GOS has posted an article on how you can customize the Google Update service or even disable it if you do not like its functionality.

Google Update is a critical component of any Google’s desktop application on Windows platform.

It runs in the background and makes sure that the user is running the latest version of any of the Google applications.

This is useful for most users but this facility becomes an annoyance for users who want more control over their machines.

The setting for Google Update can now be accessed using the Group Policy Editor. More details can be found here or here.
