Two sample Google Chrome extensions

Google has finally showcased some sample extensions for Google Chrome. These samples work if you are on a recent dev channel build.

You would still need to enable support for these extensions by adding –enable-extensions to your Google Chrome shortcut.

After restarting Chrome, you can visit this page to check out the three sample extensions being provided by Google.

You can install it right from the browser itself.

One of the extensions is designed to show you the number of unread emails on Gmail.

Another example of an extension allows you to subscribe to the RSS feed of the site being visited in Google Reader.

There is another extension that is aimed at the Chrome testers.

One major problem is that disable these extensions require some manual work like finding and deleting the folder where the files are stored.
