WallpaperFlickr: Rotate images from Flickr on your desktop

If you hate to have a constant wallpaper on your desktop, WallpaperFlickr is just the right utility for you.

WallpaperFlickr does not require any installation. It just runs in the background and downloads images from Flickr connected to the tags you specify.

Those images are then placed on your desktop as wallpapers.

You can specify the time interval of the entire process so you can have a new background image after your desired interval.

There are some issues with this application however. It would not download images from private accounts as there is no provision of authorization. You can however specify a user name in case you only want images from that Flickr account.

So, you would have to rely on public streams. There is also no option to download images bigger/smaller than a particular size. So, if you are working on a large display screen, most of the images would turn out to be too small for your desktop.

Other than that it is a pretty useful application to have on your machine.

One warning though… Flickr streams can have images that might not be suitable for every environment. So use it at your own risk…

Sounds good, wonder how much processing power goes into it and where the photos go afterwards?

photos are stored on your machine in the folder where the application is located. processing power is little as it just kicks in at the scheduled time.
