Now Dell is said to be making an Android notebook
Dell has been a smaller player in the netbook market as they have launched a couple of models in the recent times.
But the company is now said to be working on a Google Android based netbook model that could soon go on sale.
Dell has not specifically mentioned anything about such a product in the media.
The news was apparently leaked by another company named Bsquare which revealed that they are working on ‘porting Adobe’s Flash Lite 3.17 technology onto Dell Netbooks running Google’s Android platform.’
It remains to be seen if these reports are true. A couple of mainstream PC companies have admitted that they are playing with Android mobile OS on netbooks but no concrete launch plans have been announced.
Google Android is primarily made for the Smartphone devices. To make it work on a netbook would require some major enhancements in the code.
