Unlikely to happen: Apple acquiring Twitter?
Market sources are pointing to rumors about possible talks between Apple and Twitter.
Rumors in the market claim that Apple is now in late stage negotiations to buy Twitter and a possible announcement could be made as early as at WWDC in June.
However, there are no grounds for these reports. Apple has little to do with what Twitter offers.
They are not really a web services company. Twitter would add little to Apple MobileMe or any other offering from Apple.
Looks like this is yet another of the stories posted online to create some buzz looking at the growing popularity of Twitter.
If Google was in talks to buy Twitter, well that would make more sense. But then, we have already heard about these talks in the past.
Apple recently posted a profile page of Twitter on their website. The section highlighted how Twitter developers are huge Apple fans.
