Google blocks Custom Search Engines related to torrent files
TorrentFreak has reported that Google has started blocking the custom search engines which specifically searches for torrent files on the web.
Bittorrent technology was designed to make it easy for developers to share large files around.
But it is largely used for copyrighted media file sharing most of which is illegal.
The Pirate Bay was recently found guilty of making it easier for web users to find illegal media through their search service.
Google probably does not want to be seen as a tool for searching torrent files which are connected to pirated music, movies or software.
