Nokia Ovi mobile store to launch with thousands of applications

Nokia has announced that at launch time their Ovi mobile store would have thousands of applications on offer for their customers.

This announcement was made during the Nokia Developer Summit 2009 at Monte Carlo.

Nokia is scheduled to launch their own mobile app store next month.

A company representative spoke about their offerings: “We have extraordinary global reach and scale. And we enable developers to take what they know and build what they want.”

Nokia Ovi Store would be their answer to the growing popularity of the Apple App Store which has turned out to be a huge success for the iPod maker.
