Panda Cloud Antivirus Beta launched
Panda Security has announced the launch of beta of their upcoming product Panda Cloud Antivirus.
This new security solution is powered by cloud computing and has been under development for around three years.
The company said that they are going to provide this service for free even after it exits beta testing.
Panda said that this new product makes use of their proprietary cloud computing technology.
They call this new technology Collective Intelligence. The product makes use of data provided by all the users of the service to identify new malware almost in real time.
The developers claim that the system is capable of handling more than 50,000 new samples per day.
The beta edition is currently available on Windows XP and Windows Vista. They aim to support Windows 7 when it is released.
We are running this antivirus on a system which was using AVG Free previously. Post your own experiences below in comments!
