YouTube RealTime adds social element to YouTube

Google owned video sharing service YouTube has launched a new feature named RealTime which adds a social element to service.

RealTime is currently an invite only system and each new user gets 25 new invites to add his friends and relatives.

YouTube RealTime works as a toolbar at the bottom of pages on the service. User gets the ability to turn on/off the system and connect with friends through the toolbar.

There is the Online Friends button which displays the list of friends who are active on the service watching a video. This also enables you to find out what other videos are being watched by your friends.

The third button is named Watching Now which displays the list of other users on RealTime which are watching the video being watched by you.

We are yet to get an invite for this service though we can think about the future possibilities of this new tool offered by YouTube.
