Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 beta released

Microsoft has released the beta of their first component of the upcoming Office 2010 suite.

The company has released a beta of Exchange Server.

Microsoft has been using Office 14 as the codename for next edition of Microsoft Office.

Microsoft is referring to this new edition of Exchange as a hybrid product.

Incidentally, Microsoft is already serving 5 million users on Exchange 2010 as part of its Live@Edu program.

Microsoft spoke about the new features: “Before, the hosting platform was an add-on, now it is built into the product.”

Microsoft Exchange 2010 would be released in a 64bit edition only.
