Security experts have revealed that the computers infected with the Conficker worm are being delivered malware which includes the scareware product SpywareProtect2009.

Products like SpywareProtect2009 are called scareware as they try to scare users into believing that their system is infected with a virus and then try to charge them money to clean it.

Customers are lured to pay for security tools to clean up the mess. The information is then stolen.

Microsoft recently claimed in a report that these scareware malware are becoming one of the biggest threats online.

So, if you computer mysteriously gains this application… you might be a victim of the Conficker worm.
