Apple .Mac HomePage service being discontinued

Apple has revealed that they are discontinuing their .Mac HomePage service.

The company has started alerting the users of MobileMe service about this new update.

Apple said that the .Mac homepage service would be discontinued on July 7, 2009.

All the existing web pages would continue to remain alive on their existing locations.

Users would not be able to edit them or add new ones.

Apple also revealed that they are also discontinuing Groups feature associated with this service.

They would move all the existing data on customer’s iDisk.

Apple is suggesting that users should move to MobileMe Galleries and iWeb as an alternative for these tow vintage services.
