DiggBar updated to pacify web publishers
Digg has announced some updates to their recently launched DiggBar web based toolbar that are aiming to resolve any complaints that web publishers might have with the service.
Digg said that they are continuing to use source URL as the preferred version of the URL on their own web pages.
And these pages are the ones presented to search engines. They are also using meta noindex tag to prevent search engines from indexing the DiggBar URLs.
In addition, they are also using canonical meta tag to tell the search engines the actual URL for a page if that page is being visited by a search engine spider.
