Yahoo loses search toolbar deals with Hewlett-Packard and Acer
Wall Street Journal has reported bad news from Yahoo.
The report said that the internet media giant has failed in its attempt to renew its search engine toolbar deals with Hewlett Packard and Acer.
The deal saw these companies load their new machines with Yahoo search applications which enabled the company to gain users.
This could result in a decline in Yahoo Search user base in the coming months.
Google is currently the dominating player in the search engine market and it continues to enhance its position every month.
Microsoft has been working hard on setting up similar deals with PC manufacturers to boost traffic on their Live Search engine.
