T-Mobile to use Google Android in home devices
T-Mobile is planning to launch a new generation of home devices that would be powered with Google Android mobile operating system.
One of the first devices would be a home phone system that would be launched next year.
Another device planned is a tablet computer. Both of these would be powered with Android OS.
The company has officially declined to comment on their plans.
They are currently the sole provider of Android powered Google G1 mobile phone in the US market.
Greg Sterling, an analyst with Opus Research spoke about this new generation of devices: “All of the carriers are going to be supporting these mobile Internet devices that range from laptops to smartphones.”
