Facebook Credits: A mode of revenue generation?
VentureBeat has posted screenshots of an upcoming service from Facebook.
Facebook is set to introduce a virtual currency on its network.
They call it the Facebook Credit.
It would allow a user to show his appreciation to his friend’s status update messages…
Well something like that.
Members would be able to purchase credits for real bucks and they can then be distributed to friends on the network.
They are currently charging USD 1 for 100 credit points.
It remains to be seen what are the long term goals of Facebook with this new feature addition.
