T-Mobile wants Skype on iPhone banned in Germany
T-Mobile has said that Skype is not allowed on the iPhone on their German network.
They are disallowing the usage of Skype even on their own Wi-Fi networks.
It is already not allowed for usage on Edge or 3G connectivity.
Skype on their part claims: “They pretend that their action has to do with technical concerns: this is baseless. Skype works perfectly well on iPhone, as hundreds of thousands of people globally can already readily attest.”
T-Mobile claims that applications like Skype would choke their network infrastructure. It is in fact in violation of the contract signed by the customers.
