IBM: Conficker on around 4% of PCs out there

IBM’s Internet Security Systems division has revealed that as per their research around 4 percent of computers connected to the internet are infected with Conficker.

The service scanned around 2 million computers over the past 24 hours to come to this conclusion.

Market analysts believe that this number is pretty high compared to what they had originally expected.

IBM’s figures are pretty close to figures revealed by OpenDNS.

Danny McPherson, chief security officer with Arbor Networks admitted that the figures are pretty close to being accurate.
