The latest variants of Conficker worm are set to strike tomorrow. Here are some tools and other information on how to save yourself from this malware.

Microsoft Security Bulletin MS08-067 – Critical

This security bulletin from the company has the patches that closes the vulnerability misused by the worm.

This update corrects an issue that prevents the NoDriveTypeAutoRun registry key from functioning as expected. This is also helpful in preventing the spread of the worm.

    Hi,

    Good article. Sophos’ Conficker removal tool can detect and remove all variants of the worm/virus.

    As long as people run these tools it should stop any serious outbreak.
