MySpace announces a deal with Microsoft
US based social networking service MySpace has announced a collaboration with Microsoft.
MySpace incidentally already has an advertising deal with Google.
The deal would Microsoft would see them offering a MySpace application for the Windows Mobile platform.
MySpace already has applications for Apple iPhone, Blackberry and Google Android mobile platforms.
LG Smartphones powered by Windows Mobile would come preinstalled with this application.
The deal would also see Silverlight support coming to MySpace OpenSocial Platform.
It remains to be seen if MySpace would shift from Adobe Flash to Silverlight technology for their video sharing service.
This announcement is also interesting considering Microsoft owns a small share in MySpace rival service Facebook. Incidentally, Adobe has just joined hands with Facebook for enhancing support for Flash technologies in Facebook applications developed by third party developers.
