Internet Explorer 8 coming out today

Microsoft is all set to launch the first stable edition of Internet Explorer 8 today.

The company is hoping that this new edition would help it take on the emerging threat from Mozilla Firefox.

Google Chrome is also gaining users in the market while Apple has renewed the threat with their recently launched Safari 4 beta.

Internet Explorer 8 has seen several test releases already including a couple of betas and release candidate editions.

Microsoft has dominated the web browser market with their Internet Explorer web browser for years now.

But the market share of IE has seen massive drops in the recent years.

Net Applications claims that IE currently has a market share of around 67.4 percent compared to 21.8 percent for Mozilla Firefox.
