Google Chrome: First add-on!
Google Operating System has posted about a design document which shows perhaps the first official Google Chrome extension (or add-on).
Users would require to have a recent version of Chrome. Either the just released beta or one of the dev channel releases.
They would need to run the Chrome browser with a modified shortcut which points to a directory with the extension folder on the disk.
The demo extension replaces the Google logo on Google.com with another image. Users can change the image link with a new one in the extension file which is essentially a Javascript file.
