Symantec Guru for techies under development
Symantec is working on a new service codenamed Symantec Guru.
It is being designed for people who are technically sound.
They can use this technology to help friends and relatives online by remotely troubleshooting and repairing PCs.
It is likely to work through a browser and should be compatible with all the major platforms.
The company has not revealed when it would be ready for launch.
Company representative Brian Hernacki spoke about Symantec Guru: “The expectation is we’ll develop a very large suite of tools over time to let people deal with a large group of problems. This isn’t PC Anywhere.”
