Steve Ballmer: Microsoft Office 14 to come next year

Market analysts were expecting Microsoft to launch the next edition of MS Office sometime later this year.

However, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has been quoted as saying that they are aiming to launch it sometime in 2010.

The company has not made any launch date announcements when it comes with Windows 7 or MS Office 14.

But the general perception in the market is that they would be launched before the start of the holiday season later this year.

Ballmer said: “From a strategy perspective, the next big innovation is Office 14, our next Office release, which will not be this year.”
