Palm Pre would get Adobe Flash support

Palm Pre is scheduled for launch sometime this year and it would get support for Adobe Flash technology.

Adobe Flash powers most of the web videos available online and it is also used by millions of interactive websites on the web.

Adobe also said that they would bring support for Adobe Flash 10 to a variety of mobile platforms including Windows Mobile, Symbian Series 60, Android and of course Palm webOS.

Blackberry and Apple iPhone platforms are for now missing from the list.

Adobe has hinted in the past that they are working with Apple to develop a version of Flash for the iPhone.

Anup Murarka, director of technical marketing for Mobile and Devices at Adobe spoke about the new developments: “The smart phone Flash Player 10 release is targeted for desktop compatibility.”

He spoke about Palm webOS support: “Palm is doing the work themselves with help from us, to make it happen as quickly as possible.”
