Google Gmail now supports location details in signatures in emails

A new feature addition to Gmail through Labs is the location details which can be entered in signature area in emails that are sent.

Gmail would then try to find out the user’s location using various data including IP.

This data is then inserted in the emails sent from the account.

This is useful for users who travel a lot and send emails from a variety of locations.

It supports Google Gears which can make use of wi-fi access point signals to recognize the location of the user more accurately.
