Twitter has reportedly raised more funds
Micro-Blogging service Twitter continues to run without any mode of revenue generation.
The service has reportedly raised an additional 35 million dollars in funding.
Twitter added in a statement that they are now ready to launch services which would generate revenues for them.
Twitter co-founder Biz Stone confirmed that they have raised more funds from venture capitalists International Venture Partners and Benchmark.
He said: “We weren’t actively seeking more funding. Nevertheless, our strong growth attracted interest and we decided to accept a unique opportunity to make Twitter even stronger with a very attractive offer.
He added about the revenue generation model: “We are now positioned extremely well to support the accelerating growth of our service, further enable the robust ecosystem sprouting up around Twitter, and yes, to begin building revenue-generating products.”
