Amazon Web Services now works with IBM applications
Amazon has announced that they are now supporting a range of IBM applications on Amazon Web Services.
Users can now run a variety of IBM application on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud service.
Amazon adds that the users can now bring their own IBM licenses to Amazon EC2 . They would also be able to utilize IBM’s “Development” AMIs .
The support currently includes:
IBM DB2,
IBM Informix,
WebSphere sMash,
IBM Lotus Web Content Management,
IBM WebSphere Portal Server
Amazon is also planning to soon introduce pay-as-you-go pricing for the “Production” Amazon EC2 running IBM service.
