DeskTube: Adobe Air powered YouTube viewer
DeskTube is a useful Adobe Air application that can be used to watch YouTube videos on your computer.
This application removes the need to use a web browser to check out the videos on YouTube.
You can consider this the desktop equivalent of the YouTube application available on the Apple iPhone.
The application description on Adobe Air Marketplace states:
DeskTube is a desktop YouTube application. DeskTube is turning into an online social networking hub. Twitter is being added to tweet when you’re watching a video including the links to View or Launch. Also adding support for Ribbit, to text or call right from DeskTube! Visit http://thedesktube.com for all recent updates, and follow DeskTube on twitter (twitter.com/desktube) for the most up-to-date information.
One problem we faced was with log in. The application failed to recognize our Google Account details for logging in to YouTube.
