Microsoft Vista Beta 2 to come in 2006
Software giant Microsoft is due to release the next major iteration of the Windows Operating System sometime next year. We have already seen the first beta of Microsoft Vista and the second beta was somewhat expected to be released in December this year. However, Microsoft has confirmed that the second beta of Windows Vista will not come until next year.
The company also declined to reveal much detail about the release date of the Windows Vista Beta 2. They would give more details only next year. However, Microsoft did confirm that they are on schedule to launch the final version of Windows Vista as promised during the second half of next year just in time for the holiday season in USA.
Amitabh Srivastava, a corporate vice president in Microsoft’s Windows unit said in a statement: “First and foremost, we are still on track for general availability in the second half of calendar year 2006.†Microsoft had earlier released the first beta of Vista earlier in July this year. Srivastava added about the Beta 2: “The Beta 2 is still an important milestone for broad customer testing, but it is less urgent.â€
