Windows 7 Beta download date is over
US based software giant Microsoft has finally ended the download program for the first public beta release of Windows 7.
A company representative spoke about the program’s success: “Special thanks to everyone who is beta testing Windows 7.”
Users who are in the process of downloading the mega installer still has a day to complete the download.
Microsoft also has plans to distribute product keys beyond Feb. 12 to users who have previously downloaded Windows 7 Beta but have yet to obtain a key.
Windows 7 is going to be an important release for the company as they are struggling with the bad reputation of Vista OS in the consumer’s segment of the market.
In addition, Linux and web based services are becoming potential alternatives for the prospective customer base.
