Apptism claims Apple App Store now has 20,000 applications

Apple has not confirmed it yet but Apptism has claimed that the Apple App Store is now offering more than 20,000 mobile applications.

This web based service monitors the Apple App Store and constantly updates the information on their website.

In fact, the service currently claims that 20151 applications are on the store available for downloading.

Apple had revealed last month that the App Store was hosting around 15000 applications.

So, they have practically gained around 5000 new applications in less than 30 days!

This is amazing by any standards.

Apple App Store was launched last year in July with around 500 applications.

These applications can be installed on the Apple iPhone or iPod Touch.
