Hewlett-Packard likely to support three Windows 7 editions on netbooks
US based personal computer maker Hewlett Packard has said that they are likely to offer three different variants of Windows 7 on their future netbook models.
Microsoft is expected to launch Windows 7 either later this year or early next year.
They have learned from the mistakes made in Vista and Windows 7 is likely to be less power hungry so would support netbooks.
Microsoft had aimed to make Windows 7 capable of running on the low cost computing devices popularly called netbooks.
HP is likely to support Professional and Home Premium editions of Windows 7 in addition to the Starter edition which is designed for emerging markets.
The company in fact mentioned that they have been testing Windows 7 Ultimate (beta) on one of their netbooks to see how it performs.
