StumbleUpon now has 7 million users

Social discovery network StumbleUpon is growing at an impressive pace.

The service now has 7 million users.

StumbleUpon enables a web user to install a toolbar in his web browser. He gets a button which takes the user to random websites on the web related to his picked topics.

Users then gets the ability to rate the page by using either of the two buttons: thumbs up and thumbs down.

The service uses complex data mining technologies to improve the suggested sites over a period of time.

The more the service is used, the more relevant the results become.

StumbleUpon is currently owned by online auction giant eBay.
